. Mt. Moran is a mountain in Grand Teton National Park. The mountain is named for Thomas Moran, an American frontier artist. It dominates the northern section of the Tetons. Several active glaciers exist on the mountain with the Skillet Glacier planily visible on the monolithic east face.Mount Moran's face is marked by a distinctive basalt intrusion known as the Black Dik.
