This is one of the many spring fed ponds on the preserve.

It was begun as a plein air painting and finished in my studio.

As one in a group of artists, naturalists, writers and historians who are doing work on a series of pieces about the Goldsmith - Schiffman Nature Preserve in the Big Cove area of Huntsville, I am including here the beginnings of my contributions. These are pieces from the fall of 2009.

We are working on pieces to be shown at venues in Huntsville and possibly else where.
